About the role

Storyybrook is a new specialist SEMH primary school, built by a team with deep experience in primary education, SEND, inclusion, safeguarding and supporting children who haven't always found school easy. Because we're at the very beginning, you won't be joining a school where everything is already decided — you'll help create it.

A Storyybrook Teacher is responsible for the educational progress, personal development and wellbeing of the pupils they teach. Excellent teaching is at the heart of the role: you'll plan and deliver ambitious, high-quality learning while creating a safe, predictable and relational classroom where pupils with SEMH and SEND needs can engage successfully. Working closely with colleagues, therapists and families, you'll help every child make strong academic progress and rediscover themselves as a successful learner.

What we're looking for

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of effective teaching, learning and assessment
• An understanding of SEMH, SEND and trauma-informed, relational practice
• A belief that every child is capable of meaningful success — with the skill to hold high expectations and high support at the same time
• Warmth, curiosity, resilience and a genuine desire to help build an exceptional new school
