We have now received Storyybrook's latest Ofsted
pre-registration inspection report which can be found below. 

The inspection recognised the significant work undertaken to establish Storyybrook and confirmed that the vast majority of the Independent School Standards are likely to be met. Inspectors praised our ambitious vision, carefully designed curriculum, experienced leadership, robust safeguarding arrangements, comprehensive policies and procedures, and our commitment to meeting the needs of children with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.

Some of the strengths highlighted within the report include:

• An ambitious curriculum with sequenced learning that prepares pupils for their next educational steps.
• A strong therapeutic approach, with the curriculum carefully adapted to meet pupils' SEMH needs.
• Experienced leaders with expertise in supporting pupils with SEND.
• Robust safeguarding systems, knowledgeable leaders and governors, 
  and comprehensive staff training arrangements.
• A well-planned assessment system designed to identify pupils' starting points
  and measure progress effectively.
• High-quality arrangements for behaviour, personal development, complaints,
  admissions and attendance.
• A comprehensive website and policies that meet the required standards. 

The report identified that registration could not yet be recommended because a number of premises and wider site maintenance matters required completion before pupils could safely attend. These findings related to the physical condition and maintenance of the site rather than the quality of the school's educational provision. 

We are pleased to confirm that these works are already well underway. Contractors have been on site already throughout the summer, with the remaining improvements scheduled for completion during the early Autumn Term. Once these works have been completed, we look forward to welcoming Ofsted back to confirm that all Independent School Standards have been met.
