Rachel Burbridge

Headteacher (DSL)

With over twelve years of experience in education and seven years in senior leadership, Rachel is a passionate leader specialising in inclusion, SEND, safeguarding and improving outcomes for vulnerable children, including those with complex needs. As Headteacher of Storyybrook, she is committed to creating a relational and therapeutic environment where children feel safe, valued and supported to thrive. She is proud to lead a school where high expectations, strong relationships and ambitious learning come together to help every child achieve success both academically and personally. Rachel believes that every child deserves to feel seen, understood and nurtured, enabling them to develop confidence, resilience and a genuine sense of belonging.

Rachel Tetchner

Deputy Headteacher (SENDCo)

With over 20 years of experience in primary education, Rachel is an experienced leader specialising in SEND and inclusive practice. As a qualified SENCo and NPQH holder, she is passionate about creating nurturing environments where every child feels valued. Rachel has extensive experience supporting pupils with additional needs, including autism and SEMH, and is a strong advocate for therapeutic and relational approaches that prioritise emotional wellbeing and positive outcomes.

Rob Sherwood

Principal Proprietor

With over 20 years of experience in coaching and teaching PE, Rob has extensive knowledge of the challenges faced by schools and vulnerable young people.
